Public decisions. A clearer view.
OpenVote makes Senate roll-call records easier to explore, understand, and verify.
Start with the record
Browse votes, see the outcome, and find out how individual senators voted. Every vote detail page links to the original Senate.gov record so you can check the source.
Summaries with a source
Plain-language titles labeled “OpenVote summary” are added for convenience. They are not official Senate wording and may contain errors or oversimplifications. Official titles, questions, and source links remain available alongside them.
Simplified Passed and Rejected labels help with browsing. The official result is always shown on the vote detail page.
Independent and open to everyone
OpenVote is independently developed. It is not a government app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the United States Senate or any government or political entity. It covers Senate roll-call records; it does not conduct elections, register voters, or accept ballots.
No account is required. The site contains no advertising or analytics integrations.
Coverage and accuracy
OpenVote displays the records available through its data service. Coverage may be incomplete, and newly published votes may take time to appear. Senator statistics describe the available dataset, not necessarily a senator’s entire career.
Use the official Senate record to verify information before relying on it. This site provides general information, not an official record or legal advice.
